With 43 years of experience in the financial services industry, Dave has built a career centered on serving clients, developing trusted relationships, and creating successful financial organizations.

He founded The Patriot Financial Group from the ground up and grew the firm into a nationally recognized organization, with representatives across 8 states and over $2.5 billion in assets under management as of 12/31/2025. Under his leadership, the firm was recognized among the country’s Top 100 Best Financial Advisory Firms by USA Today in 2024.

After successfully selling The Patriot Financial Group in early 2026, Dave is now focused on his next chapter in the industry: building a team of experienced investment managers who work directly with clients to provide personalized investment management and guidance.

Outside of his professional life, Dave is married to Jenn O'Donnell and is the proud father of five children. He enjoys staying active and spending his free time playing tennis and golf, exercising, and most importantly, spending time with his family.

After more than four decades in financial services, his passion remains the same: helping people navigate their financial lives with thoughtful guidance, personalized service, and a long-term perspective.

Best Financial Advisory Firms in U.S, by USA Today and Statista. This ranking of registered investment advisory firms (RIA firms) is based on two dimensions for the top 500 RIA firms: recommendations by clients and peers, and a firm’s growth of Assets under Management (AUM). Recommendations had a weight of 20% while development of AUM had a weight of 80%. Recommendations were collected via an independent survey. Clients were able to evaluate their RIA firm, while financial advisors working for an RIA firm were asked to consider a scenario where their own firm could not take on a client and had to recommend another RIA firm. AUM was analyzed, both short- and long-term, based on available data. Short-term view, the growth of AUM over a 12-month period. The long-term view was calculated over a 5-year period.
